There are two ways to send emails in Tesorio:
Directly from your Outlook or Gmail team or individual account (covered in this article)
Via the Tesorio Delivery Option.
Compare the two options to see which works best for your business. Tesorio also offers a Chrome extension for Gmail giving you Tesorio functionality through your native inbox!
Overview
Tesorio integrates with your personal or team email by using an email API supported by Nylas. When a team email account is connected in your Company Settings, all users from your Company will have access to send and view emails using the team email account. When an individual employee email account is connected from their Profile Settings, only that user will be able to send emails directly from that email account.
Emails and responses will appear in:
The Email Manager
Your native Outlook or Gmail inbox/sent folders
When you connect, Tesorio will display 45 days of existing email history and all email history moving forward.
Before You Connect
Before you authenticate any email account to Tesorio:
Be sure your company allows email authentication through third party providers. You will be prompted to allow access to certain email functions to authenticate
Ensure you are not using an email alias (unsupported) and that you have a username and password for the email account
Make sure you won't be impacted by Tesorio's daily limit of 800 emails per day per account. For more information, please reference Tesorio Email Limits
Make sure the email isn't connected already. If an email address is already connected as a personal account, you will be unable to connect it as a team account and vice versa
If using Gmail: Check that your team email is set up as Service Account and have your Google workspace administrator configure the API permission
Connect a Team Account
Navigate to Administration > Company > Company Email Settings to connect your team account. Enter your team email address, and click Connect.
When you click Connect, the system will recognize whether the email is Gmail or Microsoft Outlook and prompt you to authenticate.
Once your team account is added, all users of your company will have access to this account and the emails that are sent/received with it. Team account emails are visible in the Inbox, and the account can be used when sending emails via Campaigns, the Email Manager, or Record Drawers.
To remove the account, click the trash icon to the left of the account connection status.
If the account becomes disconnected at any time, you will be notified via a banner at the top of the application, and can reconnect by following the prompt.
Connect an Individual Employee Account
Navigate to your Profile by clicking the person icon on the top right of Tesorio.
Select Connect Gmail or Connect Outlook to authenticate with your email provider.
You will be prompted to authenticate your email address with Outlook or Gmail. Once you have connected, only you will be able to send emails from this account. Incoming emails from customer or invoice contacts will be associated with customers and invoices in Tesorio, and will be visible by all Tesorio users.
