Connecting your Slack workspace to your Tesorio account and user authentication

This article outlines the steps needed to connect a company Slack account, and how to add the Tesorio app to a specific channel in a User's Slack instance

To facilitate a Slack connection within Tesorio you need to start by connecting your company's Slack workspace in Tesorio.

Slack users must have a Tesorio account to pull data from Tesorio in Slack

Connecting a company Slack workspace to Tesorio

Step 1

A Tesorio administrator can connect a Slack workspace by navigating to Administration -> Integrations -> Slack Integration and click Connect

Step 2

This will take you to a Slack screen to Allow the connection.

Upon clicking Allow, Users will receive a confirmation:

The connected Tesorio application will appear in the Apps category within the Slack Workspace:

Tesorio users can now share invoice and customer information to Slack. See more here.

Adding the Tesorio app to a Slack channel

Step 1

Click on Integrations and find the Tesorio app from the list:

Select the Tesorio app. A confirmation toast will appear.

Tesorio users can now share invoice and customer information with a note into this channel. See more here.

Step 3

Users can now interact with the Tesorio app in this channel. The information pulled will be visible to all Slack users on this channel. Only Slack users with an authenticated Tesorio profile will be able to use the /invoice or /customer Tesorio commands to pull information into the channel. This is also true for Users who want to utilize the "Reply to Tesorio" function to add a note back to the underlying record in Tesorio.
