Once a company workspace has been connected to a User's Tesorio instance, the Slack User still needs to authenticate their profile to utilize the integration. This article describes two ways to perform this action. Click here to learn more about connecting a company workspace, which needs to be done before authentication of a profile.
It is important to note that while a Tesorio account is required to pull information into Slack, Tesorio Users who initiate conversations to Slack from within Tesorio will be able to send Invoice or Customer information to non-Tesorio Users and/or channels with non-Tesorio-authenticated participants.
Method 1 - Authenticating from Tesorio
Step 1
A user's profile page in Tesorio now supports a "Connect" flow.
Step 2
Once selected, confirmation of credentials will validate that there is a matching email address associated with the connected Slack workspace with that of the User's authenticated login to Tesorio.
Note: If a User's company workspace is not connected, the authentication "Connect" flow will not be available. Instead, the following message will indicate the issue for the User.
Method 2 - Authenticating from Slack
Step 1
In the Tesorio app, type one of the Tesorio commands used to pull Invoice or Customer information. A message to connect will appear:
