Salesforce Integration

This article describes how Salesforce integrates with Tesorio

Updated over a week ago

Tesorio imports Account information, account notes, related contacts and account custom fields.

Connect your Salesforce account to Tesorio if you'd like to pull contacts and custom fields into Tesorio. You can also push customer notes from Tesorio to Salesforce - to the Account record (1 way from Tesorio).

Tesorio integrates with Salesforce using REST APIs. The integration requires a Connected App to be created within Salesforce. The integration set-up steps are outlined in this article.

Accounts
One-way sync of account data into Tesorio. Account data is matched with Customers only if a custom field containing the internal id of the customer record from the ERP system is present.

  • Tesorio pulls basic Account details and the account owner's contact information, which is saved as the Customer Sales Rep contact (more details on contacts here).

  • The account details Tesorio saves are the following:

    • Account name

    • Primary phone number

    • Address

    • Fax

    • Website

❗The customer details from your ERP integration are considered primary and if the above customer information exists in your ERP, Tesorio will override the Salesforce information.

  • Tesorio pulls all the custom fields from the Accounts object. In order for a custom field to appear in Tesorio, it needs to be enabled by your CSM. Please contact your CSM with the list of custom fields you would like to see in Tesorio.

    • The custom fields will appear at the Customer record in Tesorio

    • If an account has custom fields which are lookups of contacts, they will come over as contacts within Tesorio

Contacts
One-way sync of all related contacts into Tesorio. This is optional and not enabled by default. In general Tesorio customers use custom fields to bring in contacts into Tesorio.

If you'd like to sync in your account contacts into Tesorio, please contact your CSM.

More details on contacts are available here.

Notes

One-way sync of customer notes originating from Tesorio can be pushed back into Salesforce. Notes will appear on the Salesforce Account under Notes and Attachments.

Notes are not pushed to Salesforce by default. The Tesorio user can select what notes get pushed to Salesforce. If you'd like all notes to be pushed to Salesforce by default, please contact your CSM to set that configuration on your account.
